Mark Soloway

Dr. Mark Soloway is recognized nationally and internationally for his contributions in urologic oncology. Among his many awards is the Gold Cystoscope Award given annual to the urologist who contributed most to the specialty within 10 years of completing their residency. In 2014 he was asked to deliver the Whitmore Memorial Lecture at the Annual Meeting of the American Urologic Association. In 2015 he was awarded the St. Paul Medal by the British Association of Urology. This is an annual award given to an outstanding urologist outside of the United Kingdom. In addition to his clinical and basic science research, he was one of the first to emphasize case-based teaching to enhance discussion concerning the optimal approach to specific clinical scenarios, which is now an integral part of most urologic conferences.He was fortunate to be chosen to be a Clinical Associate in the Surgery Branch of the national Cancer Institute at NIH.
